NewNow with Gmail, alongside iCloud

Email that moves at the speed of thought.

Notable Mail is a native Mac app for iCloud and Gmail. Your mail lives on your Mac, every action lands the moment you click, and trackers are blocked before they ever see you.

Local-first

No spinners. Ever.

Most mail apps make you wait for a server round-trip on every click. Notable Mail answers from your Mac first and talks to the server after — so it feels instant on any connection, even none.

  1. 1

    You press ⌃⌘A to archive.

The app sends an intent — “archive this” — not a network request. It never waits on a server to answer you.

  2. 2

    It’s done. Right now.

Your mail lives in a database on your Mac. The change lands there first, so the message leaves your inbox in the same frame.

  3. 3

    Queued, not forgotten.

The action waits in a durable outbox. Offline on a plane? Close the lid? It picks up exactly where it left off.

  4. 4

    Synced in the background.

Each provider gets it in its own language — a folder move for iCloud, a label change for Gmail. If the server disagrees, the server wins and your Mac catches up.

Private by design

Your mail is none of our business.

Privacy isn’t a setting you have to find. It’s how Notable Mail is built: on your Mac, between you and your provider, and nowhere else.

  • Remote content off by default

Remote images can tell senders when and where you opened a message. They stay blocked until you choose to load them.

  • No scripts in your mail

Messages render with JavaScript disabled, sanitized HTML and a strict content policy. Email can’t run code on your Mac.

  • Nobody in the middle

Your Mac talks directly to iCloud or Google. We don’t run a server that relays, stores or reads your mail.

  • Secrets stay in Keychain

App-specific passwords and Gmail sign-in tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain — never in a file, never with us.

  • Google sign-in, done right

Gmail uses Google’s own sign-in page. We never see your Google password, and ask only for the access a mail app needs.

  • No analytics. No ads.

There are no analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. What you read, and who you write to, is nobody’s data set.

Thoughtful details

Made for people who live in email.

The small things you do a hundred times a day, made faster, safer and a little more forgiving.

Undo Send

Every message waits a few seconds before it leaves. Caught a typo or the wrong recipient? Undo, and it’s back in the composer. Try it.
